Breathe X is a new subsidiary of Breathe Airways operating from a new hub in Madrid, Spain to New York (JFK) and Toronto (Hamilton), the subsidiary airline is based on the "openskies" agreement allowing more airlines to cross the atlantic more freely than ever before. Connecting flights from Newcastle and Gatwick will enable passengers a smooth and seamless connection from the UK and Europe to the USA and Canada.
How was this decided ?
The name Breathe X was decided on as the X symbolises the cross pattern gained by aircraft "crossing" the Atlantic ocean on EU-US flights, the aircraft are painted in a new revised "circle dream" livery and registered as Spanish aircraft with the registrations EC-BXA and EC-BXB. The aircraft are fitted with performance enhancing winglets to reduce emissions and increase the aircraft’s range.
What cabin configuration is there ?
The aircraft are configured in a two class cabin layout, Business class have 28 luxury seats that convert into a 6' flat bed, Premium class will have a further 72 seats with a seat pitch of 46" giving the aircraft an overall capacity of 100 seats, this has been decided to give more room and comfort for all passengers despite what class they are in.
Where did the aircraft come from ?
The Boeing 757-236 aircraft are leased from ILFC, more aircraft may be added in the future if passenger demand is sufficient. Eventually the airline hopes to have a number of aircraft connecting the US with Europe on regular and low price flights, possibly to other destinations opening up many new routes.
Where can I download this new aircraft ?
The new Boeing 757 aircraft can be downloaded from the Fleet Info page under special liveries, in the future this will be available for the PSS payware aircraft.
